Jane Ngige is the National Coordinator of the Kenya Horticultural Council (KHC), an apex body established by the Kenya Flower Council (KFC) and the Fresh Produce Exporters Association of Kenya (FPEAK) since February 2018. Prior to this, she has served as the CEO of KFC for over more than a decade.
The KHC’s mission is to create an enabling business environment for the development, growth and expansion of a sustainable and competitive horticulture industry in Kenya.
KFC’s flagship project is an internationally accredited Certification Scheme covering the KFC Flowers and Ornamentals Sustainability Standard (FOSS) and Quality Management Systems. KFC is accredited by the South African National Accreditation Systems (SANAS), as a Certification Body, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065.
She is an MSc Food and Agriculture Biotechnology graduate from University of Reading; holds post graduate certificates in International Food Laws from Michigan State University; and Food Processing and Systems approach to Quality Assurance & Marketing from Wageningen University.
