Jane Ngige is the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Flower Council (KFC) since tail end of 2004. She is also the CEO for Kenya Horticultural Council. She is a MSc. Food and Agriculture Biotechnology Graduate from Reading University coupled with post graduate Certificates in International Food Laws from Michigan State University, Food Processing, and Systems approach to Quality Assurance & Marketing from Wageningen University – International Agricultural Centre.

She provides leadership to Kenya Flower Council in the core activities of industry representation in self-regulation, Lobbying and promotions. KFC administers self-regulation through an internationally accredited Certification Scheme on good agricultural practice, sustainability, social accountability, hygiene health and safety, capacity building, environmental protection and conservation, adherence to which is the backbone of all KFC activities. The Certification Scheme comprising the KFC Flowers and Ornamentals Sustainability Standard (FOSS) and Quality Management Systems is accredited by the South African National Accreditation Systems (SANAS), as a Certification Body (C49), in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065.

Dr. Isaac Machariais the General Manager, Phytosanitary Services in Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) where he has worked since 2002. Heholds aPhD holder in Plant Virology from the University of New England in Australia, a MSc in Plant pathology from the University of Nairobi. He has acquired various training in phytosanitary which include Pest Risk Analysis and Diagnosis from USAD APHIS and Ohio State University in USA. Biosafety risk analysis, virus identification.

He has been Key in development of phytosanitary measures that have allow the industry to access and retain markets. This has led to improved inspection services for import and export, development of Pest risk analysis report for market access; enhance diagnostic capacity for quarantine pests as well as surveillance for quarantine disease. Other achievement have been development of pest databases, farm audit systems, and online certification systems (Electronic certification system, and Import Certification Systems). He has instrumental in developed state of the art laboratories which are ISO 17025 accredited.

Sanjeev S Gadhia is the Founder and CEO of Astral Aviation Ltd which is a dedicated all-cargo airline based in Nairobi, Kenya and operates a fleet of seven cargo aircrafts into Europe and within Africa.

Operating one of the most successful airlines in Africa for 16 years, Sanjeev is responsible for the overall management, network planning and fleet acquisition for Astral Aviation along with its Pan African expansion strategy, which entails two new cargo hubs in Lagos and Johannesburg, including diversification into Executive Jets and Unmanned Cargo Aircrafts.

Sanjeev is rated as a “New Generation Leader for Africa” by the prestigious African Leadership Network, while Astral has been rated as the best all-cargo carrier in Africa in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

In addition to having an interest in the aviation sector, Sanjeev has diverse investments in logistics, courier, airport infrastructure, green-energy and manufacturing in East Africa.

A banker by profession, Sanjeev has a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Schiller International University in London.

Jack is an accomplished freight forwarding professional with over 17 years’ operations and sales experience along the supply chain specialty handling various commodities including perishables. Jack has worked in various markets in Sub Saharan regions to the consumer markets in Middle East, Russia, CIS, Europe and Australia.

Jack is currently the Siginon Group Commercial Manager overseeing the Siginon business Units i.e. Siginon Aviation, Siginon Global Logistics and Siginon CFS. He has held various leadership roles most recently; Country Manager – DHL Global Forwarding (Kenya), DSV, Swift Freight Kenya and UAE , Box Clever (K) Ltd among others. Jack was instrumental in the setting up of Swift Perishables Logistics in Africa and the Middle East and strategic Floricultural partnerships in the various consumer countries.

Toby established Africa Logistics Properties (ALP) in 2016 with backing from global institutional investors with a strategy of developing the first portfolio of grade-A international logistics and distribution warehouse complexes across target African cities. ALP is currently developing Kenya’s first international standard logistics and distribution centre of 50,000sqm in Northern Nairobi. ALP’s occupier clients include multinationals and regional local companies. Toby has a 15 year background in the industrial warehouse sector across emerging markets. He was a member of the founding management team of Raven Russia PLC, a UK property investment company focused on the Russian warehousing sector. The team built a $1.5 billion modern warehouse portfolio that listed on the London Stock Exchange main market in 2010. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is a member of the ALP board of directors

Elizabeth Kimani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from Egerton University and a certificate in Environmental Auditing and Impact Assessment from Africa Nazarene University. She is also trained as a lead internal auditor, HACCP, EMS 14001, QMS ISO 9000/2001(by SGS) and has worked in Sian Roses for 12 years in the Quality and Standards department before rising to her current position of General Manager, Maasai Flowers Limited.

Wico Santbulte is graduated in biochemistry and has a post graduate education in information management. His earlier positions were within KLM, as project leader, head of corporate information management and, in the cargo division, as director of business intelligence and head of corporate office of KLM Cargo. Within AFKL, Santbulte is now Director Cargo Development with a focus on strategy - and organisation developments of AFKL Cargo at Schiphol. He has been closely involved with the start-up of the Holland Flower Alliance.
